Academic Scope
The academic scope of KSAP(Korean Society of Anesthetic Pharmacology) consists of two main axes: pharmacology and technology. Research in this field aims to optimize the pharmacological basis of hypnotics and analgesics for patients undergoing general anesthesia or sedation, as well as to explore the principles and techniques of Target-Controlled Infusion (TCI) for efficient delivery of these agents. There is active research into evaluating the efficacy and safety of various medical devices, as well as quantifying the effects of drugs through EEG analysis. Additionally, research related to Big Data and AI is being conducted in line with the current trends. Particularly, the society possesses unique assets such as the Asanpump (pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic simulation program), the fit4NM (user interface for NONMEM), and the Vital Recorder for storing and analyzing biosignals obtained from various medical devices.
