May 17
Held the inaugural General Meeting at Riviera Hotel, Yuseong, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea 47 members elected Professor Oh Yongseok of Seoul National University as President.
November 01
Hosted the 1st Symposium in Seoul (Lotte Hotel), South Korea. Presentation by Professor Jang Injin of Seoul National University on "Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of IV Anesthesia."

1997

March
Published the first issue of the quarterly journal "Intravenous Anesthesia" (ISSN 1226-4857). Planned to publish Vol.5No.4 by the end of December 2001.
August 30
Held the 2nd Symposium at Hoam Convention Center of Seoul National University under the theme of "Propofol: Present and Future."
September 01, 1997
Changed name to the Korean Society for Intravenous Anesthesia (KSIVA)

1998

March 01
Opened the KSIVA homepage (http://netizen.att.co.kr/ksiva).

Held the Symposium on Target Controlled Infusion (TCI)sponsored by AstraZeneca at Jeju (Prince Hotel), South Korea.

Held the 3rd KISVA Symposium at Homan Convention Center of SNU.

1999

April 15
Elected Professor Yun Suk-Min of Korea University as Chairperson of the Organizing Committee for the 3rd AOSIVA. Organized its Secretariat at the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine of Korea University Anam Hospital. Selected Professor Jeon Jaegyu as the Director of the 3rd AOSIVA.
July
Held a journal review meeting to prepare the 3rd AOSIVA at Samsung Medical Center (every third Monday at 7 PM).
August 21
Held the 4th KISVA Symposium at the Clinical Research Institute of Seoul National University Hospital under the theme IV Anesthesia Drugs.

2000

March 3
Held the inauguration ceremony of the organizing committee for the 3rd AOSIVA in Seoul (SporTime).

Held the 5th KSIVA Symposium
November 4
Participated in the KSA Annual Autumn Meeting as a sub-group. Changed the time of the KISVA Symposium from August to March.
June 1
Opened the 3rd AOSIVA homepage (http://www.aosiva2001.or.kr).

2001

March 31
Held the 6th KISVA Symposium at the Main Auditorium of Kyung Hee University under the theme "Intravenous Anesthetics outside the Operation Room" with an additional lecture on opioids. Elected Professor Yun Suk-Min of Korea University as the new President.

Changed the KSIVA homepage to http://www.ksiva.com.Registered KSIVA as a non-profit corporation.
September 13-15
Held the 3rd AOSIVA in Seoul (Sheraton Walker Hill), South Korea. The 3rd Congress of the Asian Oceanic Society for Intravenous Anesthesia was held on September 13-15, 2001 at Sheraton WalkerHill, Seoul, South Korea. There were 430 participants from 19 countries including 90 foreign participants, 315 Korean participants, and representatives from 25 companies. AOSIVA 2001 offered a variety of programs, including the opening ceremony, eight sessions, a TIVA Trainer Workshop, 33 Poster Discussions (25 persons from four countries), and a Luncheon Seminar with 22 speakers and 26 moderators. Although speakers from the US and Malaysia could not make it due to the unexpected consequences of the 9/11 terrorist attack, AOSIVA was able to proceed thanks to EuroSIVA participants including Professor Kenny (UK)delivering lectures. Related companies also participated in the exhibition event (25 companies and 35 booths). Welcome Reception, Gala Night, and Farewell Party were held as official events.

Decided on the English name of the Korean Journal of Intravenous Anesthesia (Intra Anesth).

2002

March
Joined the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences (KAMS).
April
AOSIVA provided KISVA with KRW 50 million as a carry-over.
June 08
Held the 7th KISVA Symposium under the theme of "Sedation" at Asan Medical Center. Invited Speaker: Professor T.Kazama of Hamamatsu University, Japan

2003

February 19
Held the 9th KISVA & KSN Symposium at Asan Medical Center. Elected Professor Lee Jung Un of Chungnam National University as the new President.

2004

May 22
Held the 9th KISVA & KSN Symposium at Asan Medical Center.

2005

February 18
The board of trustees and the General Meeting resolved to change the name of our organization to "Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology" on the understanding that our organization would get the approval of KAMS.
February 19
Held the 10th KISVA & KSN Symposium at Muju (Tirol Hotel), South Korea. Elected Professor Lee Sang-Kyi of Jeonbuk National University as the new President.

2006

Held the 11th KSIVA and Korean Neuromuscular Research Society Symposium.

2007

April 21
Held the 12th KISVA & KSN Symposium at the Clinical Research Institute of Seoul National University Hospital. Elected Professor Yang Hong-Seuk of Ulsan University, Asan Medical Center as a new President.
August 7
Requested KMAS to change the name of our organization to the Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology (KSAP).

2008

February 13
Acquired a corporate registration number (215-82-65969).
April 19
Held the 13th KISVA & KSN Symposium in Seoul (Asan Medical Center), South Korea. The General Meeting approved the renaming of our organization.
May 15
KMAS approved the renaming of the "Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology."
July
Changed the logo of our organization.

Held the KISVA & KSN Symposium in Seoul (Kim Koo Museum& Library), South Korea. Elected Professor Do Sang-Hwan of Seoul National University as the new President.

Held the Annual Meeting of the Korean Societies for Anesthetic Pharmacology & 2014 Continuing Nursing Education in Anesthesiology in Goyang (KINTEX), South Korea
- Hosted by KSAP alone
- First-ever introduction of the “Medical Physics & mathematics” session
- Refresher training for the Korean Society of Perianesthesia Nurses held in a separate room
- Held a workshop
- PKPD tools workshop (lecturer: Han Dong Woo)
- PK/PD modeling using MS Excel (lecturer: Park Jongcook)
The general meeting approved transferring the functions of the general meeting to the board of directors, and the term of office of executives was changed to the fiscal year date (December 31) rather than the symposium date.
